why japan so exited about BIGBANG

 

 

 

Idol Group Bigbang is leading the new Korean wave in Japan. Bigbang's successes are more noticeable since this group did not try to assimilate themselves to the prevalent trend in Japan, but came to this point with its unique style and skills.

On November 3, Bigbang performed a great stage at the 'Seoul Tokyo Music Festival'. This festival was co-hosted by SBS and TBS to celebrate SBS' 20th anniversary and groups such as Kara, 4minute, FT Island etc. participated in this festival.

There were about 16,000 Japanese fans at the festival, and the audience, who were mostly in their teens or in their twenties, gave all the Korean singers fervent responses.

One of the staffs mentioned, "The 'Seoul Tokyo Music Festival' was almost like Bigbang's concert." and really acknowledged Bigbang's popularity, since the majority of the audience were Bigbang fans. Most of the singers sang two or three songs, whereas Bigbang, this day, performed five songs.

Bigbang has received a lot of awards in Japan also. Bigbang received a rookie award in Japan, when they didn't receive one in Korea; in the 'MTV World Stage Music Video Awards Japan' on May 29, Bigbang received three awards. These eminent awards ceremonies in Japan acknowledge Bigbang's popularity by giving Bigbang the awards.

One of the staff persons who was in charge of promoting Bigbang mentioned, "We've been promoting Bigbang not as a 'Korean wave' star, but as an artist. Thus, we really focused on Bigbang performing the best the members could. We've only been able to do a week or so of promotions for the albums in Japan, but we've always been surprised by the wild responses the Japanese fans give us."

Seriously, i need to sleep already.
Besides, it's almost 12 am and i've been studying
these two days without getting enough sleep!THANKS TO EXAMINATION!!
I hate exams so much but that is a challenge especially for me,being a 3rd year Bachelor of Science degree student.
(Duh~ i'm not exactly agree with this statement deep down in my cute lil heart) ^_^
Aha, before i went further, let me introduce my_super_mighty_self to you..
NAME? IVY Song (not poison ivy ok ^_^)
AGE? 20 years old
CRIME I'VE DONE? Errrr..Nothing? (okie,maybe i'm naughty but not bad person)
BEST TRAITS? High selfconfidence,tough lady(lil bit boyish),Loud,Happy go lucky,hyperactive,optimistic,straight forward ..
(ehem2x,since i like to brag about myself, i better stop here =P)
MINUS TRAITS? well, i want to say I'm PERFECT! but my best friend once told me my over confidence,ignorant,secretive and tough character are my biggest flaw..hehehe

FAMILY MEMBER? Big Bro Alex and my parents (died when i'm 15 years old in a car crash)

CURRENT STATUS? Single but not available(never even have first love at 20)

And the best thing ever happen in my LIFE? *drumrolls* JUNE Kim (do called her june july august if wanna make her angry =p)!! This girl is my best,best,best friend in this whole WORLD!! .... Both of our parents migrate from Korea to US 20 years ago(major factor our korean kind of sucks~),so we're kind of close. When my parents died and Alex went to Australia to further his study, i decided to move into a hostel even though her family insist me to live with them and SHE, being my supportive friend, decided to move in with me.
*Suddenly someone walk into Ivy's room without her noticing and..*
"Ya, why are you talking to yourself? i thought u already sleep? what are you doing?" asked June curiously at the doorway.
"Nothing??" I answered while scrathing my not-itchy head, grinning.
"Nothing? Nothing always mean something for a girl! Tell me!!" (suddenly walk and standing beside me with her hand both on her waist)
But when she see i'm ignoring her and start to focus back on my Genetic notes,she start poking me and making a cute face ,suddenly start to sing Tell me songs by her favourite girlband from korea wondergirls.
(Yep, she got this korean lover disease from me and it's becoming worst!)
Unbearable to stand her unstable pithching, i get up and put both my hands to June's mouth.
"June,it's nothing ok.I'm just having fun with myself so i'm not gonna get sleepy.."
"But.."
"Ow,can i borrow your broadband? I wanna surf internet for a while. Have to checked my e-mail" I talked before June start to cut my words again.
"Hah, as always, failed to make you spill da beans even i'm your best friend . Wait, i'll take it from my room"(going with dissappointed face)
After giving the broadband to me and went back to her room, I connect to the internet and check my inbox
