Sandara’s recent confession about G-Dragon has left Big Bang’s TOP in deep regret.

Aired last January 29 on KBSTV2 “Entertainment Tonight,” Sandara Park revealed that, “When I think about “Oh, this man would make a romantic boyfriend,” the man that comes to mind is G-Dragon.”

This confession came from the time when Sandara Park went on a ski trip and when she had trouble carrying her board, G-Dragon came and took it from her and carried it instead.

Sandara Park revealed, “I have that image in my mind when I think about men I’d like to date,” she explained.

When G-Dragon was told this, he said “Sandara Park was carrying this big board so it looked like there were two people and she had a hard time,” he continued, “Thank you for thinking well of me,” he finished.

TOP then revealed, “I didn’t go ski with them at that time,” he said, “If I did, I may have been chosen instead, I should have followed. It’s such a waste,” he expressed regretfully, with a jealous heart.

'Want to become that kind of person who ‘will devote all of his youth to his work’
This busy and supreme Korean artist has attracted attention from us as an artist now. He might not be so familiar to our readers. However, his insatiable passion and ambition towards his career is really outstanding and appreciative.

I want to be those pioneers who can initate changes in the traditions
Has he ever suffered because of it? No matter what, TOP still chose to take this path. He made such a surprising confession in Japan despite the fact that he has becoming more and more popular in Japan, not to mention in Korea.

‘There has been such a period of time that after I had finished all of my acting and shooting, I returned to my room which I have no companion. Suddenly, I could no longer distinguish whether I was in the reality or not. Yes, I have had experienced such a period of time before. I have suffered insomnia because of this too. The frequency was not low too.'
We have known TOP beforehand for his brilliant standard of singing and his charming stage performance. He is also a member of the very popular band ‘BIGBANG’ in Japan, not to mention in Korea. He is characterized by his handsome look and surprisingly distinguished ‘tenor’ voice. His performances are always fashionable and masculine which gives us an unique feeling of existence. He is not only popular among girls but also boys.

Moreover, his talent is not only limited to music. In the drama ‘IRIS’ which have also been shown in Japan,TOP was the cool killer and he broke the stereotype of ‘singers cannot act’. It is unimaginable that in a person like him, we can find the trace of loneness that is beyond description.

‘I had to be TOP when I was on the stage and had to transform into the character in the drama. When I returned to my own identity after transforming to and fro these two characters, I would ponder, ‘Who am I actually?’ There were times that I did not know how my original self looked like.’
Perhaps it maybe due to his being in such an exciting showbiz, he would have such an identity crisis. When the lime light dimmed, then so did his real self and so he lost his direction too. In such a period of time, he was granted the chance of acting in ‘Into The Fire’.

‘When I was invited to take part in the film, I was doing a Japan tour and preparing my SOLO album at the same time, so I once thought that I should reject the offer. However, after I had read the script, I changed my mind. I thought it might be not easy to handle all the things at the same time but it might be another opportunity for me to discover something.’

The Korean War which was portrayed in the film was really existed. It is a story about the Korean army and student soldiers. The film set against the background of the attack of the North Korea, although they did not have any war experience, they still chose to fight in the war to protect their country. The film also depicted the cruelty and instability of war. TOP’s character moved the audience to tears by his story. In Korea, there are many people whose heart chord are struck by his role who suffered of insecurity and fright but at the same time upheld his identity as the students leader and finally transformed into a strong character. He also won the best newcomer prize of ‘Oscar of Korea’ – The Blue Dragon Film Festival but what he got not only limited to a prize.

He is also happy about there are youngsters who pay attention to this film for he has taken a role in it. For him, who has always been surrounded by the scream of girls, it was not easy for him to take up such a challenge and even worse, films about wars are those would be dodged by the younger generation. However, when he heard that his fans and the younger generation have discussed the film on the internet, he was really touched and grateful.

‘As a new born generation, we don’t understand what a war is but we cannot say because of our ignorance, then the things are not existed in the world. If my taking part in this film can make youngsters feel something about the wars, I do think I have done a really meaningful job.’

‘Yes, I am a singer but I have not taken my image and popularity into consideration when I decided to take the role in the movie. What I was thinking is I really wanted to yell and convey some messages to people.’
‘ I have always had strong feelings about conveying messages through my songs or acting. However, I do not think that I should always be the role model of others. As an artist, there are times that I want to change the world and speak out the truth of things happening around us. I always want to present something new to the audience and sometimes, I do feel the pressure of it is very strong.Maybe,it is the destiny of an artist.’

What we feel about these sentences is TOP is really proud of being an icon of the generation and a singer. He should be able to make clear of his identity now, right?
‘However, even until now, I would also reflect what I have done within a day on my own. Yesterday, today, and the stuff which is going to happen tomorrow, I remember all of them one by one. It seems that I like torturing myself. (laugh) However, I think, if I do not accumulate such kind of reflection, no new ideas would be come up in my mind no matter it is lyrics or acting skills. Therefore, I am that kind of person who cannot stop torturing himself. There is pain in such a process but I know such kind of suffering would be transformed into a great source of power. That’s why I am not scared or unsecured. '

He really enjoys what he is doing now. TOP said comparing to falling in love and playing, he prefers totally obsessed in his work.
‘For example, when I was recalling my past memories, I have also the memory of ‘loving someone so crazily’. But when compared to love memories, I want to become that kind of person who will ‘devote all of his youth to his career’. Then, when I recall my memories in the future, I can proudly say I have not wasted even 1 day of my life since I had worked really hard ’

There are loads that I want to do. There are loads that I want to achieve.
‘What do I have to achieve then I can be called to be achieve success? I do not really know but I think the definition of success is different for each of us. And it varies according to our value system too. No matter who we are, only we know what we are striving for.’
Although he thinks like this but we really want to know to him, who enjoys great popularity in both Japan and Korea, what successful means to him—For this youngster who has just been 23, he said with a shy smile wearing on his face,

‘I think it would not be appropriate for me to define what success is since I am just too young and immature now. However, I want to bring great influence to the world like what Beatles and Rolling Stones did. I want to affect the generation like what they did to us and be an ‘era turner’. I want the history can mark down the era ‘before and after BIGBANG’ and ‘before and after TOP’. I think it is a really worthwhile target for me to strive for.’

His dream is big but we know from his manner, he is not arrogant. In Japan, if possible, he would go to have sushi and if he can get one more BE@BRICK, he would be so happy. Instead of saying he like things that are Japanese, we should rather describe him as being close to the Japanese youth of his age.
‘But I have not had any in-depth conversation with any Japanese artists. If there is a chance, I want to discuss with them about how we think of music, acting and future plans, etc.’

Seungri tops Last FM's Most Hyped Artists [NEWS]

Seungri's solo promotions have earned him a notch on Last.fm's most hyped artists list. Last.fm is one of the world's largest music communities, allowing users to listen to free music while on the internet.

For the week ending with the 23rd of January, Big Bang's youngest member Seungri took the top spot for the week's "Rising Artist". He rose up 1,692% this week while his song "VVIP" being on his top tracks after 1,625 clicks.

Seungri beat out many artists representing countries all over the world. G.NA also represented the K-pop phenomenon, as she came in at number 115.

Sandara Park, “G-Dragon is a romantic" [NEWS]

2NE1 member, Sandara Park unveiled a cute story with G-Dragon.

On January 29, Sandara Park revealed on KBSTV2 Entertainment Tonight (MC Shin Hyun Jun) that:

"G-Dragon is someone you’d think ‘This is a man I hope to find good romance with,’ though you won’t think it of him.

Not long ago, I went to ski with G-Dragon. Usually, though it’s not something many people believe, G-Dragon is not one who says so many words. So he got my ski board that I was carrying, without saying anything.

Who is Seungri's favorite Big Bang member? [NEWS/VIDEO]

Last January 26, Seungri was a guest on the MBC Radio program, 'Best Friend' of No Hong Chul. He sang his album tracks, "VVIP" and "Open the Window", and also gave an interview in which he was asked which of his bandmates he liked the most.

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyunsuk's voice is infamous as YG artists are always imitating his voice in a high, nasally and comic way. Yang Hyunsuk said in an interview:

"My artists are always imitating me, so of course I would watch the shows they're on. They never do this in front of me but when I see them imitating my voice on shows, I think 'Ah! Seungri not promoting on Music Bank, might be the same for Big Bang's comeback? [NEWS]

It seems fans have been unable to see YG Entertainment artists performing on KBS’s Music Bank for some time now due to the label declaring a non-attendance to the public broadcast network’s 2010 KBS Music Festival.

A representative of the music industry spoke with Star News on January 27th and revealed:

“Despite GD&TOP and Seungri being well into their promotion cycles, YG Entertainment artists have not once made an appearance on KBS’s Music Bank since restarting their activities. GD&TOP and Seungri make weekly appearances on MBC’s Music Core and SBS’s Inkigayo, and for a longer period, it seems that YG representatives won’t be sending their artists to appear on Music Bank, which goes the same for Big Bang’s comeback next month.”

Some are speculating that YG’s inability to appear on Music Bank is due to the artists refusing to attend the year-end “2010 KBS Music Festival” last year. At that time, representatives of YG expressed:

“We are not able to understand why the ‘Gayo Festival’ is giving a ‘best popularity award’ when they declared that they wouldn’t.”

YG artists instead attended MBC and SBS’s year-end ceremonies, both of which did not contain award components. KBS had clarified that the festival overall focused on music and not the awards, and retorted that they too failed to understand YG’s decision.

Since then, YG artists have not been making appearances on Music Bank. Despite the controversy, representatives of the label explained:

“We do not have a bad relationship with Music Bank.”

Big Bang to watch the premiere of Big Show 2010 in 3D with fans [NEWS]

Boy band Big Bang will hold a special premiere event for their upcoming 3D film on Friday, according to SBS Contents Hub on Wednesday.

A press release by SBS said today that a premiere event for the big screen version of Big Bang’s annual concert "2010 BIG BANG LIVE CONCERT BIG SHOW" in 3D format set for release on February 2, will take place at the CGV Wangshimni Theater in Seoul this coming Friday.

Fans will be able to purchase tickets to take part in the event which will be attended by all five members of Big Bang.

The upcoming release, a 90-minute film, will feature the first day of Big Bang’s three-day concert held from January 29 to 31 last year. It will also contain scenes from backstage that were not included in their formerly released DVD on the show.

Meanwhile, the group’s annual concert for this year, set to take place at the Gymnastic Stadium of the Olympic Park from February 25 to 27, reported a complete sellout of 40,000 seats last week.

Big Bang, known as one of the most popular boy bands in the country for both their music and fashion, is set to make a full-fledged comeback to the local music scene on February 25 after a two-year hiatus.

The group composed of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, has been leading solo or unit activities.

Starting May, Big Bang also plans to hold a nationwide tour in Japan where they are expected to perform for a total 160,000 fans.

Seungri reflects on fate and his solo album preparations [NEWS]

“People will think “He’s Big Bang’s maknae. What can a maknae do?” But breaking those stereotypes is fun.”

Big Bang’s Seungri unleashed his first solo album on January 20th, which shortly became the top most searched album on various music sites like Bugs Music, Naver Music and Mnet.com. Taking that accomplishment in stride, Seungri is aiming to change the general public’s view of him as a singer and a musician.

Seungri is a member of a group who’s not only popular in Korea, but has gained explosive interest and popularity in Japan and all of Asia. Yet when one compares his solo activities to his group members’, it could be considered to be of a smaller scale. A maknae of a team who has so much to offer – does he ever get worried?

“I’m a fatalist. I believe everything has its own pre-determined time to rise. If I don’t have activities or receive opportunities, then I believe that’s fate. I’m saying that it’s better to keep preparing yourself for your fate rather than being impatient. Of course, my being able to release this solo album is fate in itself.”

Unlike his bandmates (who could be found on variety programs, movies, or back at the studio), it was difficult to spot Seungri with a solo project in the entertainment industry. Seungri explains that the reason for this was because he didn’t feel confident in his abilities.

“To be honest, I didn’t have the confidence to do better than the other members for solo music promotions, and there wasn’t anyone who said I should try solo.Since I’m not a member who focuses greatly on music, I was scared of writing lyrics and composing songs. When others ask me of my abilities in composing or producing, I’ve always said, “I’m not good at it.”

Whether it was fate who intervened, or a well-timed opportunity, no one can say for certain. What is known, however, was that Seungri seized his insecurities and rose above them. His solo work was originally planned to be a digital single, but due to the positive response, YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk decided to turn it into a seven-track mini-album. Of those seven tracks, six were personally composed and penned by Seungri himself.

“I was able to make the songs after constantly listening and looking over the shoulders of the other members while they produced music during the five years of being together."

With G-Dragon and T.O.P being too busy with their own unit album promotions, Seungri had to prepare his new album without the help of his bandmates. But the independence allowed Seungri the chance to establish his own unique charms in his works.

Musing over his music video for “VVIP“, Seungri expressed:

“Whatever I do, I like using things that have meaning behind it. For the “VVIP” music video, the key held the most meaning. The key’s meaning was that if you use the key to open the door to enter Seungri’s world, you become a VVIP. I hope the fans can feel that while listening to the album.”

With Big Bang preparing to make an official comeback on February 24th, Seungri will unfortunately only have one month to promote his first solo album. When asked if he felt a sense of disappointment, however, Seungri confidently shook his head.

“I’m going to make the general public feel a sense of yearning to watch me perform. That way, even while I’m promoting as Big Bang, I can simultaneously run solo promotions as well, no?”

G-Dragon sick and will be unable to perform on Seungri's comeback stage [NEWS]

Big Bang leader G-Dragon will not be able to perform alongside Seungri for his “M! Countdown” comeback performance on January 20th.

Seungri was scheduled to performed “What Do You Want Me to Do” and ”Open the Window,” which guest-features G-Dragon. The maknae rolled into Mnet studios to rehearse a day before the filming of his comeback stage, and G-Dragon decided to tag along to go over their co-performance.

However, it was discovered that G.Dragon was actually suffering from a bad flu, and could not perform at all. A staff member stated, “The head PD saw G-Dragon and said that his fever was too high, and he couldn’t perform on stage. Afterwards, he was barred from this performance with Seungri, and went directly to the hospital instead for treatment.”

Top Korean pop stars are riding Hallyu’s second wave [NEWS]

When The Beatles hit the United States in the early 1960s, they helped launch what would eventually become known as the British Invasion.

The Asian equivalent is hallyu - the Korean Wave of drama, film, music and culture that took Asia by storm beginning in the late 1990s. Beginning with television dramas and originally restricted to Asia, hallyu is now going through a second phase, with music groups leading the way into the coveted American market.

One of the groups that has been popular in the U.S. is girl group Wonder Girls, whose hit song “Nobody” reached No. 76 on the Billboard charts last October. On Jan. 7, the band was invited to be the opening act for a concert celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth, Wind and Fire in Las Vegas. The concert featured performances by the band and tribute performances by major artists, including Stevie Wonder.

After the show, Noel Lee - the president of Monster, a cable and headphone manufacturing company, and the host of the event - said that the Wonder Girls are “putting Asian pop culture on the map.”

Another Korean artist who had success in the West is Taeyang, who is a member of the group Big Bang. His album “Solar” reached No. 1 on the Canadian iTunes R&B sales chart and went to No. 2 in the U.S. in the beginning of last year - a first for a Korean singer. His success was even more impressive because the songs on the album are all in Korean and his competition consisted of top pop names such as Usher and Ne-Yo. It was the first time that a Korean singer had topped North American charts.

Taeyang’s popularity was amplified when two Canadian singers and b-boys by the name of J. Reyez and Tommy C. became YouTube sensations with their cover of Taeyang’s song, “Wedding Dress.”

Song Gi-cheol, a Korean pop culture critic who has studied this phenomenon, said, “K-pop has started to achieve the quality of American pop. The music that we’re producing now is well-produced and the singers themselves show a lot of talent.”

Another band that has had success in the North American market is the nine-member girl group, Girls’ Generation.

When the group participated in an event in Los Angeles organized on Jan. 8 by the fan club Soshified - which is a combination of the shortened Korean word for Girls’ Generation, Soshi, and the English word “satisfied” - 500 of the group’s 120,000 members worldwide were present.

One fan club member said, “I’ve started learning Korean because of my love for K-pop. It is hard for people of all ages to enjoy a single genre of music but K-pop doesn’t seem to have that kind of limitation.”

Last September, a concert held by SM Entertainment, the largest entertainment management company in Korea, produced a concert in Los Angeles with some of their most popular groups, including Girls’ Generation and Super Junior. All 15,000 tickets for the concert were sold out a month in advance.

That was just one strategy that entertainment companies have started using to market their acts.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Jan. 13 that Korean singers and groups are using social networking to promote their music. According to the article, “YouTube’s video-management features are gaining traction in emerging markets where local content producers are seeking a cheap way to reach overseas audiences and create demand for its artists without having to open offices or partner with labels in other countries.”

It also reported that SM Entertainment had used the video sharing site to distribute video of its acts, and said that its two biggest competitors in South Korea, YG Entertainment and JYP Productions, and about two dozen smaller labels had done the same thing.

Meanwhile, the increased interest in K-pop has also attracted American producers. The new EP by the Wonder Girls, due out in the U.S. in March, is being produced by Rodney Jerkins, famous for his work with the late pop icon Michael Jackson.

The new album by JYJ, a trio that consist of former members of the boy band TVXQ, is being produced by Warner Music Group with the participation of renowned hip-hop singer Kanye West.

In a recent study, the JoongAng Ilbo examined the popularity of K-pop by surveying 923 video clips of Korean acts - specifically those managed by SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment, the country’s top three management companies - that were uploaded to YouTube in the year 2010.

The results showed that the videos by the Korean performers got 793.57 million hits from people in almost every country worldwide. Over 500 million views were from the Asian continent, 120 million from the American continent and 55 million were from Europe.

Lee Won-jin, the managing director of Google Korea, said, “The fact that K-pop videos had almost 800 million hits from viewers all over the world proves that K-pop has the potential to succeed in any given market.”

Big Bang 40,000-seater concert a complete sellout [NEWS]

Boy band Big Bang's upcoming annual concert, set to accomodate some 40,000 fans, has soldout after attracting over one million people rushed to a website to grab tickets, according to the group's agency YG Entertainment on Friday.

A press release by YG revealed today that the tickets, sold in three separate rounds from Tuesday to Thursday on online shopping and reservation site G-Market, attracted 250,000 fans the first round, then 300,000 the next round and 450,000 the final time.

Big Bang's "2011 BIG SHOW" is set to be staged at Seoul's Gymnastic Stadium of the Olympic Park from February 25 to 27.

Big Bang members expressed their gratitude for the enthusiastic response for their upcoming concert through the statement and added they have been preparing a lot for both the upcoming concert.

Most importantly, the concert will mark Big Bang's much-anticipated return to the K-pop music scene for the first time in over two years - their third full-length album will be released on February 24.

Big Bang is currently active through its unit activities composed of duo G-Dragon and TOP and solo Seungri under which both teams have released their first albums titled "GD & T. OP" and "VVIP," respectively.

Seungri's "What Do You Want" #1 on digital real-time charts [NEWS]

Big Bang's Seungri is on a roll with his first mini-album. Having just released his album, two music videos, and performed his first comeback stage tonight, Seungri has also hit #1 on real-time charts.

"What Can I Do", "VVIP" and "I Know" occupied various places in the top 10 following the release of the album. On Cyworld, "What Can I Do", "Open the Window" ft. G-Dragon, and "V.V.I.P" have occupied the top three places respectively, and his duet with IU "I Know" ranked fifth. The songs have also ranked on Bugs and MNet real-time charts.

Fans competing for Big Show tickets, sold out in 5 minutes [NEWS]

Fans competing to get Big Bang concert tickets

Big Bang’s upcoming concert shows just how much the fans missed them during the 2 years they were taking a break.

On the 18th on G-Market, the first round of sale for Big Bang’s 2011 Big Show was opened and within 5 minutes, it was sold out and once again showed how popular Big Bang really is.

On this day, 150,000 fans came into the site to reserve the tickets and only 14,000 tickets were available, making the ratio of actually buying the ticket 10:1.

During their first concert, the ticketing server was down so the date to sell the tickets was post-poned and Big Bang has shown, since their debut, their power of selling all the concert tickets and the ability to crash down the ticketing server, and this happened again.

During this concert, Big Bang’s new album will be revealed along with GD&TOP’s unit album and Seungri’s solo album. A lot of brand new songs will be revealed on the day of the concert and because of that reason, this concert is starting to become an issue.

At Japan, they won the Best Rookie Awards and have succeed in many other countries and that’s why many asian fans are participating in trying to reserve a ticket.

Also, a lot of fans failed in getting a ticket during the first round and are currently waiting patiently waiting for the second and third round to open up.

A staff said, “For those who weren’t able to reserve a ticket during the first round, don’t worry because there’s still the second and third round. We’ll make sure to put on a great show and pay you back for all the waiting you did.”

Big Bang’s concert, 2011 Big Show, will continue its ticket reserve on the 20th.

Tickets for Big Bang show sold out in five minutes

Tickets for Big Bang's concert sold out in five minutes of opening up for reservations yesterday, announced the group's agency YG Entertainment on Wednesday.

According to a press released by YG, over 150,000 fans visited online shopping and reservation site G-Market yesterday to purchase the first round of 14,000 tickets for Big Bang's "BIG SHOW" set to take place at the Gymnastic Stadium of the Olympic Park in Seoul from February 25 to 27.

A second and third round of tickets will go on sale at later dates to accomodate the total 40,000 fans the idol group hopes to meet with during the three days.

The upcoming show will feature not only songs by the five-member group but also unit performances by GD and TOP who released their first unit album last December, and Seungri whose first mini-solo album is set for release on January 20.

Most importantly, the concert will mark Big Bang's much-anticipated return to the K-pop music scene for the first time in over two years - their third full-length album will be released on February 24.

Is YG Entertainment the solution to the Korean music industry?

TVXQ, one of the top idol groups that started the idol Hallyu wave, is now being followed by KARA, the new leaders of the Hallyu wave in Japan, and both are on the verge of disbandment. The disputes between artist and company weren't contained internally, and now they've ruptured the exportation of Korean culture.

The current Korean music industry is going all out in creating idol groups, as many are of the belief that there's nothing better than a smart little idol group in achieving jackpot success overseas. H.O.T started the boom, and were followed by the successes of both Shinhwa and TVXQ. Unfortunately, the disturbing reality of the majority of these groups is that they don't 'stay whole' forever.

Companies prepare years and millions of money in the creation of such idol groups, while the chosen members give up their youth for the success of the company's future. With hundreds of new idol groups debuting a year, idols are lucky if they can get at least their song heard once to the public.

The efficacy of idol groups is now being put to the test, with companies emerging from the dark while complaining about their inability to create a profit, and top idols claiming that no matter how hard they danced and sang, they were "still cold and hungry." Which side is speaking the truth?

Money lies at the root of the problem. Companies reason, "We worked to the bones in order to create you," while idols retort, "We've done all that we had to, now give us what we deserve." The addition of family members only complicates the issue further.

Before anyone even begins to fully understand the situation, both parties begin to destroy each other while fans divide and their influence in the international market collapses.

Amidst such controversies in the industry, YG Entertainment seems to be beckoning the Korean music industry towards a better path because they know the solution to coexistence between a company and its employee.

The solution is surprisingly simple. YG's CEO once stated, "What belongs to them must go to them." He gives his artists the freedom to perform music fit to their individual desires, and lends his unending support in ensuring that their dreams are realized.

The CEO is also often seen making affectionate statements towards his own groups, such as "I really hope Big Bang lasts a long time" and "I think preciously of 2NE1." His artists respond to such love by affectionately talking about him on broadcast programs.

No matter what the answer is, what's definite is that YG Entertainment lies one step aside from an industry plagued by divisions in idol groups.

It's common sense that there will be less fights if everyone is full and happy. There's an old Korean saying that even ravens repay favor, and if people want talented idols to properly get their sound heard by music fans and conquer the international market, people that throw away others for their own selfish greed must disappear.

G-Dragon visits his junior in a deep coma [NEWS]

G-Dragon was said to have visited his junior, Kim Daehan, on the 18th, who has been in a deep coma for a year because of an accident. G-Dragon went to junior high with Daehan.

G-Dragon learned of the situation Kim Daehan was in through a letter his father posted that was circulated by fans on GD&TOP's home page. (Similar to how Jung Eun's story reached Daesung.)

Kim Daehan's father wrote:

Hello, Mr. Kwon. I'm Daehan's father.

Daehan, who lived in the suburbs, moved to Seoul for school where he had difficult times. I heard you helped and supported him a lot.

Daehan used to talk to me about you and the text messages you sent to him saying he'll ask you to perform with him when he becomes a great musician. He majored in Daegum (Korean traditional instrument) in which he had great success. He was even named as the youngest intangible cultural asset for playing it. But last January 2010, he had a tragic car accident and has been in a deep coma since then.

Doctors say that (even he's in a coma,) he can still hear us and that important people who were part of his past memories may have an effect on him. I understand that you are very busy and that it might be difficult.. but can you come for a visit and tell him, "Wake up, Daehan. I've come for you"? Please.. I'm asking you this to save my son. He was a very promising young man and you were a big support to him.. Please..

GD&TOP vs SEUNGRI !!! Who will win ???

Within a group, there are times when they work separately and at times together. This is the rule that comes with being in an idol group. Even though they're one group under one entertainment, they all have different activities such as acting, going on variety shows, releasing solo albums, and etc.

Big Bang's member, GD&TOP and Seungri have both released an album around the same time, gaining many attention. Also, both albums don't only have just one title song, but at least 2 in their newest album. It looks like the team members will be facing each other on stage.

On the 13th on YG's blog, Seungri released a teaser of his first solo album and have officially started his promotion. Through the clip, fans are able to see a manly side of him and a more mature looking Seungri. Fans will also see that his charisma has leveled since his promotion of Strong Baby 2 years ago. Although the mini album is set to release on the 20th, the fans are already getting excited and are patiently waiting for the full length album and the music video.

During December of last year, GD and T.O.P. released a unit album that surprised many of the fans. Since Big Bang debuted back in 2006, fans weren't able to see just these 2 stars performing on stage. Many people in the KPop music industry didn't see this partnership coming.

Along with 2NE1, they released the album with a triple title song and on the 9th on SBS Inkigayo, they won first place with the song, High High, and have been getting good feedback. If this continues on, many people will the same group members competing for first place.

This can be see as a world competition. Many are wondering who the fans will choose among these 2 competitors.

GD dan TOP muncul diacara SBS ‘Night after Nihgt’ yang disiarkan tanggal 10.

Ketika ditanya tentang mengapa ia harus memeriksa pesan yang diterima Seungri , GD berkata, “Aku takut kalau dia akan membuat kesalahan dan aku tidak tahu kenapa aku khawatir walaupun kami hidup bersama.”

Kemudian, ia menjelaskan, “Penah sesekali ketika kami pergi keluar untuk bermain, saat itulah Seungri diterima di universitas, lalu aku memeriksa foto2 dalam ponselnya dan aku tahu bahwa ia memiliki banyak teman tyg kelihatannya baik.. Taeyang bergurau bahwa Seungri harus memperkenalkan seorang gadis padanya. Setelah kami mengatakan itu, Seungri mulai mengirim pesan kepada gadis itu sangat cepat.. ” Semua orang pun jadi penasaran setelah GD menceritakan kisah ini.

Setelah menyambar telepon kembali dari GD, Seungri mengambil foto lucu dirinya sendiri dan mengirimkannya ke gadis itu. GD kemudian melihat nya menerima pesan balasn yg mengatakan “Aku benar-benar ingin menggigit mu.”

GD lebih lanjut menjelaskan, “itu boleh saja cerita berakhir di sini, namun, Seungri mengirim kembali balasan ‘Kau bisa menggigit ku’ kepadanya. Anggota Big Bang telah ‘menggoda’ para VIP dengan comeback mereka yg telah lama ditunggu-tunggu sebagai Big Big bulan depan.

Perwakilan YG telah mengungkapkan bahwa album terbaru adalah Big Bang bukanlah yang terbaik. Ini sudah 2 tahun 3 bulan sejak album terakhir mereka di Korea, dan sekarang mereka sudah tumbuh dengan suara baru. G-Dragon mengungkapkan bahwa mereka telah bereksperimen dengan genre yang berbeda seperti musik rock.

Pada hari itu juga Daesung mengungkapkan kesan pertama tentang G-Dragon,

“Ketika aku pertama kali bertemu dia sangat kurus . Ketika aku diberitahu untuk bergabung dengan Big Bang awalnya sudah ada G-Dragon dan Taeyangs di sana. During GD&TOP's guesting on Night After Night, the topic of G-Dragon being picked as the #1 overrated musician came up. When asked about it, he answered:

"It's the truth. People have never told me I was a genius or that I was good at music. When that article came out, I was glad because it was the truth."
When asked about the plagiarism accusations against Heartbreaker, he answered:

"I feel like it depends on the person. I think it's a part I have to fix, so I don't make a mistake next time. The only thing I can do as a singer is to show a better stage next time instead of writing an apology. I didn't do anything wrong, but I ignored family and friends' calls and I felt like I had done something wrong. I was depressed, and all the attacks hurt me. I wondered what made them think those things about me. But I felt like I had to move on."

BEAST Hyun Seung memukul Big Bang Seungri??

TOP mengungkapkan bahwa sebelum Big Bang debut dan sebelum Hyunseung dikeluarkan dari grup, ke-enam anggota telah hidup bersama dalam satu asrama, dan mereka sering pergi keluar untuk makanbarbeque setelah latihan. Ketika itu adalah pekerjaan Daesung dan Hyunseung untuk memasak daging untuk hyung-nya.

Ia melanjutkan dan berkata, “Suatu hari Daesung dan Hyunseung menyadari Seungri tidak pernah memasak meskipun dia maknae. Jadi mereka ingin mengetahui kenapa, tapi dia hanya menjawab,” Aku tidak bisa memasak daging, “dan keduanya kaget karena jawabannya. “

Dalam sebuah wawancara ,G-Dragon mengungkapkan bahwa Daesung dan TOP, akan merilis album solo setelah comeback Big Bang.

G-Dragon dan T.O.P mengadakan wawancara dengan TVN. Selama wawancara ini mereka berbicara tentang kegiatan unit mereka dan rencana masa depan Big Bang.

G-Dragon mengungkapkan rencana kegiatan solo Daesung dan TOP dengan mengatakan, “album [unit] Kami rilis terlebih dahulu dan kemudian album solo Seungri akan rilis berikutnya, kemudian album Big Bang dengan semua anggota .Dan sesudahnya,album Daesung yang sudah ditunggu orang2 sedang direcanakan dan rencana album TOP juga. “

Taeyang in the US for 2 weeks + hanging out with Teddy and Aimee [NEWS

On January 9th, YG Entertainment told OSEN:

“On the 8th, Big Bang’s Taeyang left for America through Incheon Airport. He will be staying there for around two weeks.”

With Big Bang’s comeback scheduled for February, why did Taeyang suddenly take a trip to America?

“It wasn’t a personal reason, but it was for him to receive dance lessons. In order to show an upgraded performance, he went to meet with famous choreographers.

The members are having a short rest before their upcoming album release, but Taeyang volunteered to receive dancing lessons instead. His eagerness is outstanding.”

With the increasing anticipation from fans and music industry associates alike, it was reported that the members are throwing in as much passion and dedication as they can into their album preparations. G-Dragon told OSEN in a recent interview:

“As much as the fans have been waiting, we will come out with a lot prepared and give them great songs. We’ll completely fill the album with good songs and show songs that express our various tastes and personalities.”
T.O.P also expressed:

“Aren’t people saying that these days, the popular music industry is a generation of three week albums? No matter how much effort you put in, if it passes three weeks, there is no opportunity left to show what you have to your fans. Daesung and Hyunseung got mad at Seungri because of? [NEWS]

At SBS Night After Night's competition corner, G-Dragon and T.O.P appeared on the “court seats” to go against the comments, “I am not a cold city person” vs. “I am not the type of person who acts cool."

At the recording, T.O.P revealed a situation when Daesung and Hyunseung were mad at Seungri before when the five members of Big Bang and the current BEAST member Jang Hyunseung shared dorms.

During their trainee days, the six people used to go eat samgeupsal (Korean bacon) after practice and Daesung and Hyunseung were the members that always had to flip the meat as it cooked. However, on one day, Daesung and Hyunseung had started to question why they were always the one to cook the meat while the youngest Seungri continued to eat. So after holding it in for several times, Daesung and Hyunseung had made up their mind to complain to Seungri. But after an unexpected word from Seungri, Daesung and Hyunseung’s plan turned into ashes.
